Jonathan Fleming (51) is a free man now. He spent 25 years in prison for a murder charge. The judge found that he had been Florida on vocation at the time of crime.
"He is extremely happy this day finally came but frustrated that he suffered for 25 years for a crime he didn't commit"-Defence lawyer says.
What an unlucky man. He has lost his youth in prison. Really sad.
No compensation can bring back his lost life.
This shameful incident will be a black mark on the American Criminal justice system forever. American prosecution system is comparatively better than other country.
Police force is not corrupted and efficient also .However, this incident says something is also rotten in the system.
In India , this kind of incident is reported earlier. Indian prosecution system is always alleged that it is corrupted. But why in America ?
If an innocent man punished , then that system needs an urgent reformation.
Criminal justice system should be 100 % error free. It deals with human life.
